One of the great features of a house is having a patio where you can entertain guests or just hang out and enjoy the day. Maybe when you saw your current home, you imagined what kinds of activities youd be doing out on the patio. Once you moved into the house, you began to enjoy this space between your home and the yard, however, theres one aspect that youre not too crazy about, and thats the patio doors. Patio doors come in all sizes and may have sliding glass doors, or traditional doors that open with a doorknob. Regardless of what style of doors you currently have, they all share something in common: a lack of privacy.
The first factor, which needs to be considered for these items are the material of the door, as it plays a huge role in deciding the look of your patio. French patio doors have been an eternal favorite with people because they are made of wood and they are durable as nature makes it a very good investment option. Wood patio doors never go out of style and it has a timeless appeal. Once you have decided about the type of material that needs to be chosen for the door, then you can move over the style which you would prefer your patio door to have. A couple of years back it was easier to make a choice for these doors, due to the dearth of versatility of these products, but today, it is a different story altogether. The consumer has a lot of options at his disposal. Since there are so many styles and designs available for these doors, you can select a piece, which seems compatible with the entire look of the patio.
Bi Folding doors were launched around the turn of the century; they can be installed in place of French doors, where both doors are hinged to fold as they open together to one side. Bi folding doors can also span an opening to around 7 metres wide, depending on the frame chosen. A master door can be placed amongst the doors, at the ends or in the middle, wherever the opening is required; this door is a standard (pivot) opening door which enables the other doors to be pushed to the side or sides of the aperture, resulting in a sliding-folding action, concertina-style, to maximise the width of the opening between home and garden or conservatory.
