After fitting the new wheels, make sure that they are adjusted completely flat or into the bottom section. This will give you more room when re-fitting the patio door. The wheels can be adjusted to the correct height after the door is fitted into the frame. Spray the wheels with a silicone lubricating spray. Before re-fitting the door, clear out any debris such as leaves and dirt from the track and spray the track, locking mechanism and top door channel with a silicone lubricating spray. Re-fit the door and adjust the wheels as described above.
In addition to your choice of wood type, you can also find hardwood patio doors in a variety of sizes, styles and colors. While some hardwoods are stained a certain color, others are painted white or left in their natural color. Popular styles of wooden doors for patios are French doors and sliding doors, although, there are several other styles that also work great. French patio doors have that old-style provincial look that is very classy and elegant. These doors can have one big pane of glass or multiple panes of glass. Depending on how large your door area is, you can have two doors installed, or as many as four standing side-by-side to create a stunning scenic view to your backyard.
One of the great features of a house is having a patio where you can entertain guests or just hang out and enjoy the day. Maybe when you saw your current home, you imagined what kinds of activities youd be doing out on the patio. Once you moved into the house, you began to enjoy this space between your home and the yard, however, theres one aspect that youre not too crazy about, and thats the patio doors. Patio doors come in all sizes and may have sliding glass doors, or traditional doors that open with a doorknob. Regardless of what style of doors you currently have, they all share something in common: a lack of privacy.
Remember, when it comes to hardwood patio doors, you dont have to settle for the same old look everyone else has. In fact, its a good idea to do some online research and look at some photos of wooden doors, which can be a big help when youre trying to decide what you like best. To keep maintenance to a minimum, you can have the wood treated with a weatherproofing formula that protects the wood finish. This allows you to enjoy your patio and those stylish doors for many years to come.
